December festive favourites

When it gets to this festive time of year there are so many things which I just love   – the food for one, I mean chocolate orange mince pies – hello! Seeing family, getting all snuggled up and making memories with my mini one all feature pretty highly too.

Every year I like to have a few treats which I only let myself have around Christmas time to keep them special. As I’ve previously mentioned I love, love, love Snow Fairy, the super delicious smelling shower gel that Lush only bring out around Christmas. It always feels such a treat to have this every December and it leaves myself and my bathroom smelling divine.

Glitter is another one, I’m very much a girly girl and generally attracted to anything sparkly. I like to get a new little something for my wardrobe each year to wear to a Christmas party, so this year I got these fabulous ankle boots from River Island. They are fantastically glittery, super comfy to walk and dance in – (I totally wore these out in London and didn’t take them off once). Also I got them in the sale for £25 total bargain!

Christmas lights, actually any kind of fairy light up around the house to set the festive mood. We are hoping to buy a house next year and I can’t wait to go all out and decorate for Christmas in a big way.

One of the lovely things about this time of year is spending time with family, eating and drinking lots and hibernating in front of the fire. Basically embracing the hygge lifestyle.

If you’d like to find out more about the hygge lifestyle read my post How to bring hygge into your life.

What are your favourite things this time of year?

XOXO
