If you read my blog you’ll know I’m a big fan of Autumn and have recently discovered hygge – in a nutshell it’s the Danish art of living cosy. Think candles everywhere, super snuggly throws, good food and good company in front of a roaring fire – I know amazing right!
With this in mind I’ve been thinking that bedrooms tend to get neglected a lot of the time when it comes to creating a cosy atmosphere. I guess because they aren’t really a socialising space, more just a personal one. It’s nice to add some hygge touches and make your bedroom feel super cosy too. Bedding is an obvious one, I just love the feeling of brand new bedsheets and now that we’re in winter curtains are a key element too. There’s nothing better than snuggling up in bed on a cold winters night in your cosy socks and pj’s with the curtains closed and listening to the rain pouring down outside (especially this week).
I think as far as home decor goes curtains often get left to the side when actually they can make such a difference to a room. I love the heavy drape, blackout type with a nice opulent colour like purple.
So here’s a bit of inspiration to make your bedroom super duper cosy this Winter:
Matching Bedding & Curtains
I love a matching duvet and curtain combo! Check out this gorgeous shabby chic set from Yorkshire Linens.
Canterbury Check Flannelette Grey Duvet Cover Set and Canterbury Grey Pencil Pleat Curtains
I’m also loving this set from Dunelm Mill with a touch of sparkle.
Charleston Champagne Thermal Eyelet Curtains and Duvet Set
If you like to update your bedroom with the seasons check out this Yorkshire Linens duvet set for the festive time of year – so cute! Tartan Stag Natural – Flannelette Duvet Cover Set (who doesn’t love a bit of reindeer chic at Xmas)
Dunelm is one of my favourite places to get home stuff, their duvets sets are to die for!
Beautiful Birds Heather Bed Linen Collection
Holly Willoughby Ruby Grey Bed Linen Collection
Yorkshire Linens have a great range of curtains to cosy up your bedrooms too, checkout these options:
Logan Eyelet Thermal Blackout Curtains in Aubergine and Faux Silk Eyelet Curtains in Aubergine. Turns out I totally love aubergine! I think I definitely prefer a long length drape too as it fully frames the window and has a more opulent feel.
So if you feel like investing in some bedroom cosy this Winter checkout one of the best curtain shops Yorkshire Linens in Harrogate. FYI Yorkshire Linens also have free delivery on online orders over £50.
Thank you to Yorkshire Linens for working with me on this blog.
